At the VanDusen Mansion

2 Jan

In 2009 the Feds busted a Ponzi scheme being run out of  fabulous old Minneapolis mansion. The property management company that I do contract work for got the job to manage the property while the Feds figured out what to do with it. When they needed some handyman work yours truly got the call. It was a fantastic place. One of its previous owners had invested a fortune in updating the heating, electrical and plumbing systems seamlessly into the ornate building. The place was full of all the nooks and crannies you’d expect in an old place like this. The heat bill alone was $5,000 per month. I was hoping that it would take the Feds months to move the property but they actually got it moved pretty quickly.
